With the spring semester in full swing, UTA Athletics is preparing for a week full of competition.
Here is the schedule for Tuesday through Feb. 9.
Men’s basketball
After an 87-77 overtime loss to California Baptist University on Saturday, the men’s basketball team looks to rebound against Utah Tech University at 8 p.m. Thursday at the Burns Arena in St. George, Utah.
The team will finish its week with a match against Utah Valley University at 3 p.m. Saturday at the UCCU Center in Orem, Utah.
Women’s basketball
The women’s basketball team looks to face off against Utah Tech at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at College Park Center.
The team will then face Utah Valley at 1 p.m. Saturday at College Park Center. The Lady Mavericks have won their last two meetings against the Wolverines.
Women’s tennis
After a 0-3 start to the season, the women’s tennis team is set to face UT Dallas at 10 a.m. Saturday at the UTA Tennis Center.
The team will have a quick turnaround to wrap up the day against Lubbock Christian University at 2 p.m. Saturday at the UTA Tennis Center.
Men’s tennis
After a slow start to its spring slate, the men’s tennis team is looking for a spark against a Southeastern Conference opponent, playing against the University of Oklahoma at 4 p.m. Saturday in Norman, Oklahoma.
The team will finish the week versus the University of New Mexico at 9 a.m. Sunday in Norman, Oklahoma.
Softball
The softball team is set to start its season this week in the New Mexico/ UT El Paso Tournament, facing the University of Massachusetts Lowell at 1 p.m. and New Mexico State University at 7 p.m. Friday at the New Mexico State Softball Complex in Las Cruces, New Mexico.
The team will then play UT El Paso at noon and 3 p.m. Saturday at the Helen of Troy Softball Complex in El Paso, Texas.
The softball team will wrap up the tournament at 1 p.m. Sunday versus New Mexico State in Las Cruces, New Mexico.
Men’s golf
The men’s golf team is set to participate in the Amer Ari Intercollegiate, hosted by the University of Hawai’i. The tournament is set to run from Thursday through Saturday at the Mauna Lani Resort Golf Club in Hawai’i.
Indoor track and field
The indoor track and field team is set to participate in the Charlie Thomas Invitational, hosted by Texas A&M University. The invitational will run from Friday through Saturday at the R.A. “Murray” Fasken ’38 Indoor Track and Field at College Station, Texas.
