In Loving Memory of Juan Enrique Ortegon February 25, 1992 – January 27, 2026 Juan Enrique Ortegon, beloved son, family member, and friend, passed away on January 27, 2026, at the age of 33. Born on February 25, 1992, Juan lived his entire life in Texas, where he built deep roots through faith, friendship, service, and love. Juan was raised in a Christian home and faithfully served at El Buen Samaritano Church in Fort Worth, Texas-the very church where he grew up. His faith was central to who he was. In March 2024, Juan was baptized for the remission of his sins, a meaningful milestone that reflected his sincere commitment to God and his desire to walk faithfully in His path. Juan worked as a roof inspector with J. Duncanson Roofing for approximately two years. Through his work, he left a positive mark on everyone he encountered, forming genuine friendships through his professionalism, strong work ethic, and kind, authentic spirit. He took pride in what he did and cared deeply about the people around him. A man of routine and determination, Juan often began his mornings at the gym, committed to taking care of himself both physically and mentally. He also had a joyful love for food-especially McDonald’s cookies-which he could happily finish all on his own, usually laughing as he did. That laughter, easy and sincere, was something many will remember fondly. Juan loved being surrounded by friends and family, cherishing moments of connection, shared meals, and meaningful conversations. He was deeply committed to his NA meetings, where he found purpose in supporting others, offering encouragement, and giving back. His heart for service extended beyond meetings, as he dedicated time to feeding the needy and caring for those who needed compassion and understanding the most. Juan is survived by his loving mother, Dora Alicia Medina (Robledo Perez); his stepfather, Max Medina; his sisters, Marlene Garcia (Ortegon) and Ashley Alexias Ortegon; and his brother, Simon Roel Ortegon. He is preceded in death by his father, Roel A. Ortegon. Juan will be remembered for his faith, his generosity, his humor, and his unwavering desire to help others. Though his life was far too short, the impact he made will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always. Visitation will be held on February 12, 2026, at 8:30 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 9:30 a.m., both at Mount Olivet Chapel. Interment will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery.
