EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — El Paso County is launching its first set of community meetings to inform the public and seek input regarding the Capital Improvement Bond projects approved in November of 2024.

Residents are invited to attend, share their thoughts, and connect with others in their area.

The design process of these projects will include robust community engagement to ensure residents’ voices shape the park’s future, county officials said.

Construction is expected to follow once the design phase is completed, and the contractors are selected.

2024 El Paso County Capital Improvement Bond

In the November 2024 General Election, El Paso County voters approved three propositions from the Capital Improvement Bond Program: Proposition A for parks and recreation improvements, Proposition B for a new Medical Examiner facility, and Proposition E for the County’s first dedicated animal shelter. Together, these projects represent a $155 million investment in community spaces, public health, and animal welfare.
