Starting next fall, Memorial Hermann Broadway at the Hobby will give Houston audiences the chance to see everything from a live version of The Sound of Music, Tony Award®–winning musicals Buena Vista Social Club and Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, as well as the ever-popular Wicked in its 2026-27 season.
In announcing its upcoming season Broadway at the Hobby noted that six of its regular season offerings are Houston premieres. Season ticket holders and single ticket buyers can also tack on Beetlejuice and Wicked.

THE SOUND OF MUSIC
September 29 – October 4, 2026
This Rodgers & Hammerstein classic on a North American tour tells the story of Maria and the von Trapp with songs like “Do-Re-Mi,” “Sixteen Going on Seventeen” and “Edelweiss.”

Returning to the road and Houston, the musical tells the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons in the Tony Award®-winning account of four guys from Jersey, who got together to sing. The radio loved them but off-stage things weren’t as harmonious. The show features all their hits including “Sherry,” “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” “Oh What a Night,” “Walk Like a Man,” “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You,” “Beggin’” and “Working My Way Back to You.”

Not the usual story from Oz, this tells the tale of when the green-skinned Elphaba meets Glinda and an unusual friendship ensues. With a score that includes the hits “Defying Gravity,” “Popular” and “For Good,” Wicked continues to be a musical that packs the house wherever it plays.
