Texas Tech’s Snudda Collins (player) and Kansas’ Jaliya Davis (freshman) secured the first Big 12 women’s basketball awards of February for the 2025-26 season. Colorado’s Zyanna Walker, Iowa State’s Audi Crooks and Oklahoma State’s Micah Gray join the duo on the Big 12 Starting Five, which highlights strong performances from around the league.

Collins propelled the Lady Raiders to a 62-60 victory over then-No. 12 TCU.  The senior guard posted her second career-best scoring performance in her last three games with her 28 points versus the Horned Frogs. Collins added five rebounds in the victory while shooting 45% from the field and 50% from downtown. It improved Texas Tech to 8-3 in Big 12 play, marking the first time the Scarlet and Black have totaled at least eight wins in league play since the 2012-13 season. Collins started the week with 16 points while shooting 46.2% from the floor against Iowa State. This is her first career Big 12 Player of the Week honor.

Davis scored 29 points with a career-high nine rebounds against then-No. 12 TCU. The 29 points are the most by a freshman nationally against a top-25 team this season. The forward from Overland Park, Kansas added 14 points and six rebounds against Colorado. Davis is the third player all-time to win the league’s Freshman of the Week honor in five consecutive weeks and is just one shy of matching Ayoka Lee’s record of six straight weeks.

Walker averaged 18.5 points and 7.0 rebounds in two victories in the Sunflower State. Crooks averaged a double-double for the week in victories over then-No. 21 Texas Tech and UCF. During the midweek game against TTU, Crooks scored her 2,000th career point in her 89th game, becoming the fastest Big 12 women’s basketball player to reach the milestone. Gray led the Cowgirls to wins over BYU and Arizona during the week, averaging 24 points while shooting 51.4% from the floor and 50% from three.
