AUSTIN, Texas — The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) announced a successful year for its 10 Most Wanted Program, capturing 65 fugitives in 2025.

The arrests included Texas’ Most Wanted Fugitives, Sex Offenders, and Criminal Illegal Immigrants, according to a press release from the department.

“Texas is a law-and-order state, and the Texas Department of Public Safety is committed to working with our law enforcement partners and the public to keep it that way,” said Criminal Investigations Division Chief Floyd Goodwin.

The program’s success was bolstered by partnerships with local, state, federal, and international law enforcement agencies.

In addition to the captures, $41,000 in reward money was distributed to 11 anonymous tipsters whose information led to the arrests. Among the 65 criminals apprehended were 28 convicted sex offenders and 13 criminal illegal immigrants. The arrests took place across Texas, with additional captures in Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Mexico.

The 13 criminal illegal immigrants hailed from six countries, including Mexico, Honduras, El Salvador, Iraq, Cuba, and Cameroon. The program, funded by the Governor’s Public Safety Office, offers rewards for information leading to arrests.

DPS investigators collaborate with local agencies to identify fugitives posing significant threats to public safety. Current lists of wanted individuals are available on the DPS website. Tips can be submitted anonymously via the Crime Stoppers hotline, the DPS website, or Facebook.
