An Australian-inspired restaurant based out of New York City has made its debut in Texas this week.
Little Ruby’s opened in Dallas’ Uptown area after serving as a neighborhood staple in New York City for over two decades. Located at 2305 Cedar Springs Road, the new Dallas spot marks the company’s first out-of-state location. There are five locations in New York.
“When we came to New York, we were doing something innovative, something new to New York,” founder Nicholas Mathers said. “And here, I feel like we’re trying to do something different and new.”
He also added, “It’s unique for Dallas.”

Little Ruby’s is an all-day restaurant offering breakfast, lunch and dinner, seven days a week. It’s a place that’s meant to feel like your living room, Mathers said, where you can “pop in at any time of the day and just feel welcomed.”
As for the menu, Mathers and owner Tim Sykes said they can’t pick just one favorite item because they love them all. A few dishes include burrata, tagliatelle bolognese, crispy rice salad, prime rib, burgers and more. And of course, desserts.
Beverages include alcoholic and non-alcoholic options, along with caffeinated brews ranging from coffee to matcha. Some signature drinks are the Yuzu Jalapeno Margarita, Little Ruby, Guava Colada Slushy and the non-alcoholic Watermelon Mint Spritz.
Sykes said his favorite thing about Little Ruby’s is the community it’s able to foster within the neighborhood.
“The vibe’s always on point no matter what the occasion is, and we like to think the hospitality of Texans and Australians is very similar – it’s very warm and inviting,” he said. “We’re just excited to have everyone down here.”
Little Ruby’s is 2305 Cedar Springs Road, Suite 150, Dallas. Open daily.
