R&B pioneers New Edition have returned to the road in 2026 with “The New Edition Way Tour,” bringing their signature blend of vocal harmony, tight choreography and classic hits to arenas across the country. Formed in Boston in 1978 and rising to fame in the 1980s with songs like “Candy Girl,” “Cool It Now” and “Mr. Telephone Man,” the group helped define the modern boy-band look and sound and influenced generations of artists that followed.
At the peak of its popularity, New Edition navigated lineup changes, side projects and solo success — most notably Bobby Brown’s chart-topping Don’t Be Cruel era and the formation of Bell Biv DeVoe. But the sextet of Brown, Ronnie DeVoe, Ricky Bell, Michael Bivins, Ralph Tresvant and Johnny Gill remained a force in R&B, selling tens of millions of records over the last four decades.
For this tour, all six members of the group’s classic lineup are part of the show, promising fans a nostalgic and catalog-spanning evening. Expect fan favorites, tight harmonies and a celebration of the group’s legacy.
Joining New Edition are fellow R&B royalty Boyz II Men, celebrated for emotional ballads like “End of the Road,” and Toni Braxton, the sultry-voiced hitmaker behind “Un-Break My Heart.”
