SUV plows through Benbrook nail salon during opening, pinning an employee and causing extensive damage.

BENBROOK, Texas — Two employees were hospitalized Thursday after a Cadillac SUV crashed through the front doors of Benbrook Nail Bar, according to police.

The crash happened at the salon located at 303 Mercedes St. as employees were opening for the day, according to a woman inside the business.

Benbrook police and EMS responded to the scene after receiving reports of a vehicle crashing into the business. A woman driving the Cadillac SUV drove through the front of the store, striking two employees, police said.

The two employees were transported to a hospital with minor injuries and are expected to recover. The driver was not injured, according to police.

Witnesses at nearby businesses said they ran outside after hearing the crashing sound. One witness captured video showing the SUV inside the salon with an employee pinned beneath it.

The front entrance sustained significant damage, with doors knocked to the ground and surrounded by broken chairs and shattered glass. Holes in the wall marked the vehicle’s path through the building.

Police conducted an accident investigation and determined the crash was an accident. No criminal charges have been filed.

The business will remain closed while owners work to clean up and repair the damage, which they said will take time and money.
