Hurricane Alley and Bleu Frog Mercantile in Corpus Christi announced Feb. 6 they are both closing their doors.
Project management company Durrill Properties said the closures occurred as part of a “strategic transition” focused on strengthening the company’s long-term direction, while aligning its operations with the needs of the community, according to an email from Marisol Ramirez, director of marketing for CSA Marketing Group.
The decision for Hurricane Alley’s closure is due to current drought conditions and local water supply concerns, the email said.

Bleu Frog Mercantile, a boutique at 1710 S. Alameda St. supplying fine art, gourmet gifts and Texas-themed home goods, is closing after 20 years of business.
Regarding the decision to close Bleu Frog, Ramirez said that “Durrill Properties is taking a step back and reassessing what Corpus Christi really needs, and how it can best serve the city.”
While the official closing date for Bleu Frog has yet to be announced, the local business is pricing every item 60% off until their doors close.
