High temperatures Friday afternoon will reach the mid to upper 70s area-wide, with a few locations near the Caprock climbing into the low 80s. Winds will remain light throughout the day as surface ridging persists to the south.

Tonight: Mild Conditions Continue
A weakening backdoor cold front will push into the region Friday evening, but with minimal impact. Winds will shift to light east-northeast, and temperatures will remain above average with lows settling into the mid to upper 30s.

The benign weather pattern will continue through Sunday as the ridge axis remains positioned over West Texas. Very mild temperatures are expected to persist through early next week.
