SAN ANTONIO – The stepmom accused of helping her stepson conceal evidence in a triple murder is seeking a bond reduction.

Myrta Romanos is being accused of helping her stepson, Christopher Preciado, conceal evidence in a triple murder.

Her bond was set at $300,000. She previously asked back in May for it to be reduced to $250,000 but was denied. She now returns to court today to ask again for a bond reduction.

Preciado is being charged with the murders of Savannah Soto, her boyfriend Matthew Guerra, and their unborn child in December 2023. Investigators say Christopher Preciado shot and killed the couple following a drug deal and was then helped by Romanos and his father, Ramon Preciado, to hide the bodies.

Romanos and her husband are now each facing charges of altering or destroying evidence, concealing a human corpse, abuse of a corpse, and tampering with evidence.

Ramon Preciado was released on bond in February. Christopher Preciado remains in custody, facing capital murder charges.

Romanos’ bond reduction hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. in the Felony Impact Courtroom 399.
