A fatal crash shut down the southbound lanes of Interstate 35W just north of Texas Motor Speedway, officials said.

CORRAL CITY, Texas — Traffic was shut down on Sunday afternoon due to a fatal motorcycle crash in the southbound lanes of Interstate 35W, officials said. 

The crash was reported around noon on Sunday, Feb. 8, in the southbound lanes of I-35W near FM 407, according to the Texas Department of Transportation. 

Officers found that a motorcycle crashed into a single vehicle, according to a press release from the Argyle Police Department.

Officers are still on scene investigating the incident, officials said. It’s not clear what led up to the crash. All lanes remained closed as of about 2 p.m. Sunday.
