Two men were shot, one fatally, during a gathering at a Fort Worth apartment, police said.
Officers arrived at the apartment complex in the 500 block of Cabral Circle around 3 a.m. Monday and determined a shooting had occurred during a get-together, Fort Worth police said in a news release.
After speaking with witnesses, police learned a man caused a disturbance after arriving at the apartment. According to police, the man was armed and knew at least one person at the gathering.
Police said the man allegedly fired into a crowd of people inside the apartment and shot someone. The man was then shot by someone at the gathering and died at the scene. Police said it’s possibly the person the man shot returned fire, police said.

Another man who was shot was taken to a hospital and is in stable condition, according to police.
Detectives are interviewing witnesses to gather additional information about the shooting. Police said the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office will identify the man who died.
