EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — A woman was killed after a pedestrian crash in east El Paso over the weekend.
The woman who died was identified as 37-year-old Erica Suann Garcia.
The incident happened on the 2300 block of Tim Foster on Sunday.
The incident occurred at 2:09 a.m. when a 2025 Kia K4 struck 37-year-old Erica Suann Garcia, an El Paso resident.
According to the preliminary investigation, the Kia was traveling southbound on Tim Foster as Garcia crossed the street outside of a crosswalk or controlled intersection.
Garcia was taken to the hospital but succumbed to her injuries.
This marks the eighth traffic fatality in El Paso this year, compared to six at the same time in 2025.
The investigation is ongoing.
