For one afternoon each fall, Plano’s Legacy West turns into a playground for food and wine lovers. On Nov. 1, from noon to 6 p.m., the 8th Annual Plano Food + Wine Festival, presented by Kroger Delivery, will return with its signature blend of tastings, chef demos and community energy — a showcase of North Texas’ growing culinary scene served with a side of good cheer.

A Feast Worth The Wait

The festival’s Food Tasting Pass gives guests access to sample plates from 15 of North Texas’ top restaurants between noon and 4 p.m. Each participant brings their best (and a little friendly competition) for the coveted People’s Choice Award.

This year’s lineup includes beloved local favorites like Toulouse Café & Bar, KĀI, Lombardi Cucina Italiana, Taverna, Haywire, Moxies and Truluck’s, along with crowd-pleasers like Shake Shack and True Food Kitchen. Sweet tooths won’t be left out either, thanks to Amorino Gelato and Renaissance Hotel’s dessert creations.

Beyond the tasting tents, more than 30 restaurants and vendors will line Legacy West’s streets, offering everything from handheld bites to artisan treats.

Raise A Glass (or Twenty)

For wine lovers, the Wine Tasting Pass unlocks 20 one-ounce pours from more than 100 wines — a globe-spanning selection perfect for discovering new favorites. And for those who prefer something stronger, local and national spirit brands like Western Son Distillery, Pinhook Bourbon, Beat Box Beverages and Round 2 Spirits will be serving up samples throughout the day.

Cooking demonstrations from Lombardi Family Concepts chefs, live entertainment and interactive sponsor activations round out the festivities, ensuring there’s plenty to see and taste between sips.

Tickets start at $45 for wine tasting and $55 for food tasting, with combo and VIP passes available for those who want the full experience, and they tend to sell out fast. Early reservations are encouraged through www.planofoodandwinefestival.com.

Backed by major sponsors including Legacy West, Lombardi Family Concepts and Western Son Distillery, the festival continues to be one of Plano’s most delicious traditions — and a reminder that when good food and good wine come together, the real winner is always the crowd.
