UT-Arlington says the lecturer is on leave pending an investigation.

TARRANT COUNTY, Texas — A lecturer at the University of Texas-Arlington is on leave after officials say he was recently arrested on a complaint of possession of child pornography.

The Tarrant County District Attorney’s Office filed a charge of possession of child pornography against Paul Leafgreen, 49, Oct. 8, records show. 

The charge stems from an incident that happened on or around Aug. 8, the complaint shows. The responding agency was the Euless Police Department, records show. 

UT-Arlington said Leafgreen, who’s a lecturer in mathematics at the university, is on administrative leave pending an investigation. 

The Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office referred WFAA to Euless police for more information. WFAA has reached out to Euless police for more information. We’ll update this story as additional information becomes available. 

Records show Leafgreen has been released on bond.
