WHITE SETTLEMENT – Janie Aguillon Serna 58, of White Settlement, Texas, passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2026, in White Settlement, Texas, surrounded by her loving family. Celebration of Life Funeral Services will be on Friday, February 13, 2026, at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, 1201 S. Cherry Lane, White Settlement, Texas, 76108 at 10:00 AM with Reverend Alexander Ambrose officiating. Burial to follow at Greenwood Memorial Park. Arrangements and services have been entrusted to Greenwood Funeral Homes of Fort Worth, Texas. Viewing will be held on Thursday, February 12, 2026, form 5:00 – 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Janie was born November 12, 1967, in Hereford, Texas, to Alejandro Pena Aguillon and Esther (Mendez) Aguillon. Janie met and married the love of her life, Claudio Ochoa, on April 6, 1987, in Hereford, Texas. She was widowed on May 11, 2006, and later found happiness again and married Hugo Serna. She took pride and joy in raising her children and caring for her granddaughters. She enjoyed visiting her family in Hereford, Texas and playing pranks on her kids and grandkids. Janie had many hobbies and interests, but her true love in life was being with her family and friends. Janie’s presence and beautiful smile will be missed by all those who loved her deeply. She loved with all her heart and soul and was a treasure to all who knew and loved her. Those left to cherish and remember her many memories are her children, Claudio Ochoa, Jr., Tiffany Ochoa, and Andrew Ochoa; her husband Hugo Serna; her siblings, Joventino Aguillon and his wife Griselda “Chata” of Rocksprings, Texas, Lupe Bermudez and her husband Ubaldo of Hereford, Sylvia Aguillon and her partner Bre Cortinas of San Antonio, Alvaro Aguillon of Hereford; her granddaughters Mia Rose Valdez and Lilly Mae Valdez. Janie is joining her parents, her husband, Claudio Ochoa, her siblings, Mary, Fidencio, Angel, Carlos and Jessie Aguillon in heaven.
