LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech’s Mia Williams had an incredible start to her junior campaign this weekend.

The second baseman hit .688 while slugging 1.625. Williams totaled 26 bases on 11 hits thanks to six doubles and three home runs. She also added 13 RBI and 12 runs while going a perfect 21-for-21 in the field. She was named the Big 12 Player of the Week and Softball America’s Player of the Week for her efforts.

Williams was a big part of Tech’s record-breaking weekend as they recorded the most runs (64) and home runs (12) in an opening weekend in program history.
