Richardson police said Monday they are investigating a weekend sexual assault that was reported near the Spring Valley Dallas Area Rapid Transit station.

According to a social media post from the department, the incident happened between 10 p.m. and 11 p.m. on Saturday.

The victim, who was not identified, had exited the train at the station and was walking north along the trail adjacent to the 500 block of North Greenville Avenue when the assault happened, according to authorities.

The incident was reported to police the next day, officials said.

The suspect was described as a tall man in his early 30s, weighing about 250 pounds, with neck-length dreadlocks that had bleached ends. He was wearing a black or gray T-shirt and long, non-denim pants, according to the post.

This is the second attack near a DART station this month.

Earlier this month, a man was arrested in connection with a fatal shooting that happened at the Pearl/Arts District DART station in Downtown Dallas.

The man was wearing a Jason-style hockey mask during the shooting, which resulted in the death of 44-year-old Norman Brown.
