Dallas-Fort Worth residents can expect warm weather throughout the week with slight rain chances and cooler temperatures toward the end.

Miles Langfeld, National Weather Service meteorologist, said highs will be in the low 70s Monday and approach the 80s as the week progresses. A cold front toward the end of the week will bring cooler temperatures and low rain chances.

“It should be a pretty quiet week, just a little warm as we get towards Tuesday, Wednesday,” Langfeld said.

He said temperatures are sitting at 10 to 20 degrees above normal for this time of the year, caused by a favorable upper-level pattern and winds that brought in warmer air west of North Texas.

“We’ll start dipping back towards normal values for this time of year once that cold front moves through,” Langfeld said.
