An estate sale will take place this weekend to auction off the personal items of late U.S. Rep. Sylvester Turner, the former state representative and Houston mayor who died earlier this year.

The estate sale will take place from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday through Sunday. The sale is being conducted by Town and Country Estate Sales, and the address of the auction will be announced at 9 a.m. Thursday, according to the organizers.

Turner represented part of Houston in the Texas House for the better part of three decades before serving as the city’s mayor from 2016-2024. He was then elected to represent Texas’ 18th Congressional District in November 2024. He was in Congress only for a few months before his death at the age of 70 on March 5.
