Several candidates have filed for local offices as of the end of the filing period at 5 p.m. Feb. 13.
Election day for the local races is May 2.
What you need to know
Residents for Fort Worth, Keller, Roanoke and Northwest ISD will see a number of city council and school board seats on their May 2 ballots.
Fort Worth residents will have a special election for the District 10 seat for Fort Worth City Council. Alan Blaylock, the former council member for District 10, resigned prior to the end of his term to run as the state representative for District 93. Candidates include:

Keller residents will have elections for the city’s mayor and for City Council Place 5 and Place 6. Two current and former City Council members are running for the mayoral position, which has also resulted in a special election for the Place 4 council seat.
Current council member Chris Whatley is the incumbent for the Place 5 race.

Early voting for the May 2 election will run from April 20-28. Residents can check if they are registered to vote at the Tarrant County and Denton County websites. While Denton County polling sites are not yet available, Tarrant County locations are listed online.
