FORT WORTH, Texas — A woman was found dead from apparent stab wounds following a domestic altercation on Friday night, according to Fort Worth police.
Officers responded to a cutting call at the 4800 block of Cargill Circle at 8:57 p.m. Upon arrival, they discovered the female victim, who was pronounced dead at the scene. The suspect, identified as the woman’s adult son, was located nearby and taken into custody.
Preliminary investigations suggest the incident was a domestic dispute between the victim and her son. The suspect was transported to a local hospital for a possible self-inflicted wound and is currently in stable condition and under police custody.
Authorities believe this to be an isolated domestic incident. Homicide detectives are actively investigating the case. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will confirm the victim’s identity and determine the cause and manner of death, according to a press release from the Fort Worth Police Department.
