AUSTIN, Texas — The San Antonio Spurs are back in Austin for their annual I-35 Series games. To celebrate, they’re bringing a full week of freebies and fun events to the capital city.
For a fourth year, the I-35 Series brings the Spurs north of I-35 to neighboring Austin, where the team is slated to play two games at the Moody Center: Thursday, Feb. 19, against the Phoenix Suns and Saturday, Feb. 21, against the Sacramento Kings.
The collaboration is especially exciting for Austin, a city that remains without a professional basketball team after last year’s unsuccessful bid for a WNBA expansion team.
Leading up to the I-35 Series games, the Spurs are hosting events, activations and popups throughout the city where fans can take advantage of free food, drinks, coffee, prizes and more. Here are the events to look out for:
