The death of a woman in an RV fire earlier this week has been ruled a homicide, Dallas police said Wednesday.
Firefighters arrived on the scene of the fire at about 6:20 a.m. Sunday in the 10300 block of Eastwood Drive. The RV was parked next to a one-story home with two people inside. Dallas Fire-Rescue spokesperson Jason Evans said firefighters quickly put out the fire, which engulfed the RV and had spread to the home.
A woman and her dog were found dead inside the RV, Evans said. The people in the home were uninjured.
According to a Dallas police news release, officers were called at about 6:50 a.m. after being requested by the fire department. As the investigation continued into the fire, the incident has been reclassified as a homicide, according to police.
