H.S. Baseball Opener: Tuloso-Midway blanks Santa Gertrudis Academy

The Warriors (#7-4A) got out to a first inning lead and ran away from the Lions, capped by a walk off triple by Carlos Trevino.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The state-ranked Tuloso-Midway Warriors (#7-4A) opened their 2026 season with a bang Monday, blanking visiting Santa Gertrudis Academy out of Class 3A 11-0 in five innings.

The Warriors got on the board early with a pair of runs in the first innings on a wild pitch and an RBI single by Zaccariah Morales.

That was more than enough for Carlos Trevino who started the game on the mound for T-M and held the Lions scoreless. Trevino also had the walk off RBI triple in the fifth inning.

Tuloso-Midway now heads to the Sinton Invitational later this week.
