SAPD: Woman dead after hit-and-run crash, suspect on the loose

SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — The San Antonio Police Department is looking for the driver of a car that hit and killed a woman early Wednesday morning.

Investigators say it all happened near the intersection of Bandera Road and East Broadview Drive on the Northwest Side. Police say the victim was crossing the street when she was hit, but the driver drove away without rendering aid.

KSAT-12 reports the woman was hit around 6:00 a.m. and no details were given on the type of car police are looking for.

Investigators say the woman died at the scene and the Bexar County Medical Examiner is working on identification.

At least one witness saw what happened and they are talking to police.
