Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing is set to launch its 250SX East Championship campaign this weekend in Arlington, Texas, with teenage talent Caden Dudney stepping up to make his professional debut in Monster Energy AMA Supercross.

The 16-year-old Texan will line up at AT&T Stadium on Saturday, February 21, for the 250SX East season-opener, joining teammates Nate Thrasher, Cole Davies and Pierce Brown as he officially moves into the pro ranks.

For Dudney, racing professional supercross has long been the ultimate goal, and making his debut in his home state adds an extra layer of excitement.

“Racing pro Supercross is something I have dreamt about since I was little,” Dudney said. “I feel confident in my abilities and am ready to begin this new chapter. I’m pumped my first race will be in Arlington!”

Regarded as one of the sport’s leading young prospects, Dudney joined Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing in the fall of 2024 and has steadily built momentum since. After returning from injury last year, he delivered a strong campaign in the SMX Next class, both during the outdoor season and throughout the postseason.

He also gained valuable experience by contesting the final two rounds of the 2025 Pro Motocross Championship, where he impressed with an 11th overall finish in his professional debut at Unadilla MX.

Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing 250 Team General Manager Wil Hahn said the team is eager to see how Dudney performs as he takes the next step in his career.

“We’re really excited to see Caden make his debut this weekend and to see where he stacks up,” Hahn said. “He has put in all the work and is ready to go.”

With a strong junior résumé, solid preparation and the support of one of the sport’s powerhouse teams, Dudney now begins his professional supercross journey on home soil as the 250SX East Championship gets underway in Texas.
