After launching the first-ever installment of its “True Texas Tunes” live music series in May 2025, H-E-B is bringing back the beloved music festival at two of its Austin store locations this year.
The series of live performances from local musicians will benefit HOME, which is an acronym for “Housing Opportunities for Musicians and Entertainers.” Established in Austin in 2012, HOME is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to creating “housing security for aging Austin area musicians.”
This year, the show lineup includes performances from artists like Barbara Nesbitt, the George Carver Trio, Carolyn Wonderland and Shelley King, Kathy and the Kilowatts, Willie Pipkin and more.

The festivities are scheduled to kick off at 11 a.m. Saturday at H-E-B’s South Congress location in Austin. From there, the South Congress store will host live performances every third Saturday of the month beginning at 11 a.m.
At H-E-B’s Lake Austin location, live music performances will take place at 5 p.m. on the first Wednesday of every month, beginning in March. For a full list of scheduled performances at the Texas-born grocer’s South Congress and Lake Austin Blvd store locations, visit HOME’s event schedule here.

The festivities are free to attend, with the series benefiting HOME through a donation from H-E-B.
“We’re thrilled to team up once again with H-E-B for another year of free, live local music in the heart of our neighborhoods, all in support of HOME,” the organization wrote in a Feb. 4 update to social media.
“Grab a plate of BBQ, bring a friend, and come sing along with us all year long. Let’s keep Texas music playing, together.”
