DRISCOLL, Texas — Annaville Fire Department – Nueces County ESD #1 said a residential structure fire caused extensive damage to a home in Driscoll on Tuesday evening.
Fire crews were dispatched to the 600 block of West Garrett Street as part of a countywide mutual aid agreement. Upon arrival, firefighters confirmed reports from county police units that heavy flames and smoke were coming from the home.
Officials said the fire had already spread through much of the residence before crews could begin suppression efforts.
Firefighters quickly worked to knock down the flames and successfully prevented the fire from spreading to nearby homes and structures.
No injuries were reported and no firefighters were injured during the response.
