Austin police said they found an injured victim inside a vehicle at Del Valle High School early Monday morning.

TRAVIS COUNTY, Texas — One person is injured after a reported robbery led to a shooting early Monday morning in Del Valle. 

According to the Austin Police Department (APD), officers received a call at around 12:30 a.m. Monday about the possible shooting near Del Valle High School.

Responders arrived to the school and said they found a victim shot and injured inside a vehicle. The victim was taken to a hospital, where they are in critical condition. 

APD believes the shooting did not happen at Del Valle High School, but at a different location. It’s unclear exactly what led up to this incident or how many others were involved. 

Law enforcement is searching for a suspect early Monday morning and no other details are available at this time.
