BEXAR COUNTY, Texas — According to the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office, deputies are searching for a missing 16-year-old girl out of Bexar County who may now be in Corpus Christi.

Sheriff’s said Klarissa Zapata was last seen leaving her home on Sunday, Feb. 15, 2026, around 6:40 a.m. Surveillance video shows her walking away on foot.

Zapata is Hispanic, stands 5 feet 2 inches tall, weighs about 120 pounds, and has brown hair and brown eyes.

She was last seen wearing a light blue shirt, light blue pants, and carrying a small black purse. Authorities say her cellphone is active, but she is not answering incoming calls. Her guardians told deputies she does not use social media.

Deputies are asking anyone who has seen Klarissa or knows where she may be to contact law enforcement immediately. 

The sheriff’s office warns that anyone who knowingly hides or helps her avoid authorities could face criminal charges.
