ARLINGTON, Texas – The UT Arlington Mavericks continue their homestand Tuesday night as they welcome Dallas Baptist University to Clay Gould Ballpark for a 6 p.m. first pitch on Feb. 24 in a midweek non-conference matchup.

UTA enters the contest at 2-5 overall and looking to build consistency as the early season schedule continues to test the Mavericks. Dallas Baptist comes in at 4-3 on the year, including a perfect 4-0 mark at home, though the Patriots were swept on the road last weekend at UTSA.

GAME NOTES

UT Arlington enters Tuesday’s matchup averaging over 5.0 runs per game, backed by a team on-base percentage near .400 through seven contests.
Redshirt junior catcher Zach Mazoch has been one of the most productive bats in the lineup, hitting .500 with multiple multi-hit performances and a team-leading on-base percentage above .560.
Senior infielder Xavier Melendez is hitting above .350 and has reached base in every game this season, reinforcing the depth in the middle of the order.
On the mound, the Mavericks’ pitching staff has recorded better than a strikeout per inning, highlighting swing-and-miss potential as UTA looks to tighten situational execution.
