DUNCAN, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – A missing teen is believed to be in Texas, according to the Duncan Police Department.
Police told FOX Carolina that Clare Lanning left Byrnes High School on Feb. 18 around 10 a.m.

Lanning was last seen walking toward Interstate 85 on Highway 290, according to police.
She communicated with her legal guardian and told the guardian she was in the Austin, Texas, area. The communication then stopped, police said.
Police say Lanning was last seen wearing blue jeans, white Crocs, a black cable-knit sweater and carrying a turquoise backpack.
At this time, police consider her endangered.
Police say the investigation is active and they are following up on tips.
