EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — An El Paso dentist is facing additional sexually related charges after he was arrested Tuesday.
According to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, 68-year-old Oscar Vargas– who had been previously arrested on Feb. 9 on sexual assault charges involving a minor– was arrested again, this time at the 13000 block of Eastlake Boulevard, near Horizon City, after detectives got three more warrants, stemming from allegations that he recorded his assault with his phone.
The three new charges are:
Possession/access of child pornographyOnline solicitation of a minor Online solicitation of a minor sexual conduct.
The Sheriff’s office said the warrants were secured on Monday.
Jail records show Vargas was booked into the El Paso County Downtown Jail and that his bail amount is pending.
Meanwhile, the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners shows that his license is still active.
While the Sheriff did not detail where Vargas was arrested, on his dentist license, his practice address is listed as 13001 Eastlake Blvd.

Vargas is being accused of feeding drugs, alcohol and sex enhancing drinks to an underage girl and sexually assaulting her in his home multiple times from July to November of 2025.
This investigation started on January 28, after the mother of the victim, an underage girl, called the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office after she found lewd text messages and photographs on her daughter’s cellphone, reportedly sent from Vargas.
The mother told investigators that her daughter had gotten in trouble in school, and as a result, she took her daughter’s phone and found the inappropriate messages.
On Feb. 6, investigators interviewed the victim, who described how Vargas would allegedly cancel his patient appointments to pick her up from school after she would walk out.
The victim then said that Vargas would take her to his home, feed her marijuana edibles and make her take tequila shots and a sex enhancing drink identified as “pink pussycat” before sexually assaulting her.
Afterwards, the victim said Vargas would send her money through CashApp and recalled one time, he drove her to a Walgreens so the victim could take the “morning after pill” before dropping her back at the school.
The victim also alleged that Vargas would send her photos of his genitals and videos of him masturbating and that he recorded parts of the assaults with his cellphone.
Investigators listened to voicemails where Vargas would identify himself as “Oscar” and tell the victim that they had agreed that she was going to be “all his” after she turned 18.
