Tracking a warm and windy Wednesday in Houston

Today’s forecast:

We’re tracking a sunny, warm and windy day again for the second day.

However, thanks to the gustier winds of 20+ mph today, we’re tracking a high fire risk. By Thursday, moisture levels will rise with increasing humidity, which should help decrease the fire risk despite our warmer temperatures.

So even though we aren’t under a red flag warning, it’s still important to keep fire safety at the top of mind.

It’s been a warm February, and our temperature outlook shows above average temperatures sticking around through the first week of March as well.

And that goes for our morning lows too! Thanks to the onshore southerly flow from our Gulf winds, we’re waking up in the 50s and 60s the rest of the week.

Rain chances are slim to none over the next 10 days. Thankfully, our morning lows stay in the 40s despite the drop in temperature.
