If you have a taste for Lebanese food, we’ve got you covered this weekend. Deborah Mery Fernandez and Jo Ann Andera from the St. George Maronite Church were here to tell us all about what you can expect at the festival.
The first festival was held in 1953 and it’s become a beloved tradition in San Antonio’s rich cultural landscape. This indoor-outdoor event showcases the vibrant spirit of Lebanese heritage through food, music, dance, and handcrafted goods.
Lebanese cuisine is known for its labor-intensive preparation, and volunteers have been working tirelessly all week to bring authentic dishes to the community. You can expect mouthwatering hummus, flaky baklava, sweet namoura, savory kababs, and much more.
Beyond the food, the festival features booths offering genuine Lebanese items, from jewelry to traditional clothing and art. It’s a chance to experience the warmth and hospitality of Lebanese culture right in the heart of San Antonio.
