LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – The Lubbock High Westerners return to Lowrey Field Friday evening to seek out their second win of the season against the Caprock Longhorns, a team that earn its second win last Friday 36-26 over Coronado.
While Lubbock High has shown to have one of the area’s most prolific offenses this year, we could see a shakeup in the Westerners’ roster.
“We’re going to do some things different against Caprock,” said fourth-year head coach Juan Rodrigues. “We’re going to use some different personnel. And we’ve got kids from the offense. We have a lot of receivers. So I think we’re going to kind of mix and match some of our guys and put, some of our offensive receivers that have had lots of success at the beginning that are having success now, put them on the back end too, especially in those third and long situations where maybe we can have a little bit more depth back there to put us in good places to be.”
