CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A collaborative effort by the Nueces County Sheriff’s Office and other agencies resulted in the arrest of two individuals and the seizure of narcotics on Monday.

Investigators executed a search warrant on the 1200 Block of Elgin St. in Corpus Christi, Texas, in connection with a wanted person, according to a press release from the Nueces County Sheriff’s Office.

The operation was supported by the NCSO Warrants Division, Texas Department of Public Safety Criminal Investigations Division, and the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force.

During the search, authorities discovered various narcotics, a firearm, and ammunition. Ray Resendez, a 52-year-old with an active parole warrant, and Alyssa Diana Rusell, a 31-year-old with local warrants, were arrested and transported to the Nueces County Jail for booking.

The search led to the recovery and seizure of 12 grams of crack cocaine and 168 grams of methamphetamine from the residence. Additional criminal charges and state forfeiture seizures are pending, stated the department.
