LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – The Lubbock Independent School District’s Board of Trustees is scheduled to review the district’s academic performance report for the previous school year during its meeting Thursday evening.
The review is the final item on the board’s agenda for the night.
Lubbock ISD received an overall ‘B’ rating last year. According to the Texas Education Agency’s accountability summary, school progress anchored the district’s score, with academic growth and performance showing increases.
Area district ratings
Both Lubbock Cooper and Frenship ISDs also received overall ‘B’ ratings on the performance report.
The TEA assigns ratings based on several categories, including student achievement, college readiness, and graduation rate.
