It didn’t take long for the Dallas Mavericks to make another roster move following the team’s decision to waive recently acquired guard Tyus Jones late Friday night.
According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, the Mavericks are signing two-way guard Ryan Nembhard to a new two-year contract. Nembhard has averaged 9.9 points and 6.1 assists per game with a 44.4% 3-point shooting percentage in 17 starts as a rookie. He has appeared in 38 total games so far this season.
The 29-year-old Jones was acquired by the Mavericks as a tack-on to the Anthony Davis trade just before this season’s trade deadline.
In seven games with the Mavericks, he averaged 15.9 minutes per game with 3.6 points and 3.7 assists.
