AZLE – Wilbur “Skip” Goltz Jr., 64, passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2026. Funeral Service: 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 3, 2026, in Mount Olivet Chapel. Interment: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, March 2, 2026, in Mount Olivet Chapel. Wilbur was born on May 12, 1961, to Alma and Wilbur Goltz in Arlington, Texas. He graduated from Grapevine High School in 1979 and went on to study physics at the University of Texas at Arlington, receiving his bachelor’s degree, all the while working as an outboard motor mechanic at his parents’ boat dealership in Grapevine, following in his father’s footsteps. He was always a hard worker, no matter how small or large the task. He was typically a homebody who enjoyed reading, a love he inherited from his mother. Survivors: Sister, Laura James and husband, Shawn; brother, Steven Goltz; niece, Diane Junge and her husband, Brandon; nephew, Patrick James and wife, Amanda; great-nieces, Faith, Ella, and Lily; great-nephew, Lucas; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
