CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The parking lot outside the Hilliard Center was alive with Islander pride as Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi hosted its homecoming block party and tailgate.
The space was transformed into a family-friendly celebration, complete with free games, live music, and plenty of food and fun. Students, alumni, and families gathered throughout the day to reconnect, celebrate traditions, and show off their Islander spirit.
“I’m impressed, overly impressed with the students at this university, the work they’re doing, the leadership they show, the new programs that are going on at A&M Corpus. It’s always fun to see and get reconnected with all those people and new ideas that are happening on campus,” said Jeff Dupont, a longtime supporter of the university.
The festivities capped off with a 71–59 victory by the men’s basketball team, sending fans home with even more Islander pride.
