Multiple fatalities confirmed after 6th Street shooting in Austin

The Austin Police Department say as many as 20 people were shot and the suspect has been shot by police.

AUSTIN, Texas — Austin Police confirm there are multiple fatalities after a mass shooting incident on West 6th Street in downtown Austin.

The initial calls came from the area of 6th and Rio Grande Streets shortly after 2 a.m. Sunday. Austin Police say as many as 20 people were injured, and the suspect has been shot by police.
