EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — Women across the region will gather this month for the Association Women’s Group’s annual Her Impact Conference, an event held in recognition of Women’s History Month.

This year’s theme is “Breaking Barriers,” and the conference will feature regional speakers including New Mexico State Treasurer Laura Montoya and El Paso Electric CEO Kelly Tomblin.

“So our biggest goal with these events is to bring together women in a way of building each other up, empowering them, learning from each other’s lived experiences, and just creating a space where women feel comfortable and excited to see each other rise,” said Sumer Rose-Nolen, CEO and co-founder of the Association Women’s Group.

The organization is also marking its fifth anniversary this year. Leaders said the group has grown to more than 200 members and 40 community partners.
