All eyes will be on the sky tonight as a Lunar Eclipse is possible Tuesday morning, as lows fall toward the 50s and 60s. We remain dry for one more day before showers and storms arrive by the middle of the week. Some storms could be strong to severe at times. Chances for rainfall are likely each day through the weekend.

1. FBI investigates Texas bar shooting that killed 2 and wounded 14 as possible terrorist act

A gunman wearing clothes with an Iranian flag design and the words “Property of Allah” killed two people and wounded 14 early Sunday at a Texas bar, a law enforcement official told The Associated Press. The FBI is investigating the shooting, which erupted a day after the U.S. and Israel launched an attack on Iran, as a potential act of terrorism.

The gunman was identified as 53-year-old Ndiaga Diagne, the Department of Homeland Security said in a statement.

2. Texas elected officials react to attack on Iran

In the hours after the United States and Israel’s joint military attack on Iran, Texas elected officials largely reacted along party lines to the conflict.

On Saturday morning, President Donald Trump announced that the U.S. had launched “major combat operations in Iran.” 

3. Contractors meet with officials in Washington and Austin to discuss immigration construction crisis

Board members from the South Texas Builders Association recently met with representatives of Gov. Greg Abbott’s office in Austin to explain the economic damage that the group says is happening at the hands of ongoing immigration enforcement.

“We’re facing a construction crisis,” said Mario Guerrero, CEO of South Texas Builders Association.

Texas moves to No. 1 seed in latest NCAA women’s bracket preview, joins UConn, UCLA, South Carolina

Texas joined UConn, UCLA and South Carolina as No. 1 seeds in the women’s NCAA Tournament if it began now.

The Longhorns replaced Vanderbilt as the fourth top seed in the second reveal by the NCAA basketball selection committee of teams in line for the top 16 seeds Sunday. Texas was a No. 2 seed in the initial reveal on Feb. 14, which was shown right after the Longhorns lost to Vanderbilt.
