Men’s and women’s basketball look to finish the regular season strong, going into the Western Athletic Conference Championships, while baseball and softball look to build momentum in the preseason.

Here is the schedule for Tuesday through March 9.

Men’s basketball

The men’s basketball team looks to finish out the regular season strong after back-to-back conference losses. The team will play away against two conference foes this week, starting with Tarleton State University at 7 p.m. Thursday at the EECU Center in Stephenville, Texas.

The regular season will conclude with the team’s final game against Abilene Christian University at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Moody Coliseum in Abilene, Texas. Both games will be available to stream on ESPN+.

Women’s basketball

The Lady Mavericks will play their last two home games, looking to break a five-game losing streak. The team will play Tarleton State at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at College Park Center.

The team will conclude the season against Abilene Christian at 2 p.m. Saturday at College Park Center. Both games will be available to stream on ESPN+.

Baseball

UTA baseball will try to get back on track after a two-game skid in its next matchup in a series against the University of Louisiana at Monroe, starting at 6 p.m. Friday at Clay Gould Ballpark.

Softball

UTA softball will look to carry its momentum, coming off a win against UT San Antonio. The team has one game this week against Southeastern Louisiana University at 5 p.m. Thursday at the Allan Saxe Field. The game will be available to stream on ESPN+.

Men’s tennis

Men’s tennis looks to get its first team win of the season in an away bout against UT San Antonio at 11 a.m. Thursday at the UTSA Tennis Center. The team competes in San Antonio, Texas, again facing the University of Incarnate Word at 11 a.m Friday at the Mabry Tennis Center.

Wheelchair basketball

The Movin’ Mavs look to continue their undefeated season as they travel to Auburn, Alabama, to compete in the Auburn University College Tournament running from Friday through Saturday.

Men’s golf

Men’s golf will have some action this week, set to open competition in the R.E. Lamkin Invitational on Monday in Chula Vista, California.

Women’s golf

Women’s golf swings into action this week, closing the West Texas Classic on Tuesday at the Abilene Country Club in Abilene, Texas. The team caps off the week, opening the Riverbend Intercollegiate on Monday at the Riverbend Country Club in Sugar Land, Texas.
