James Douglas Bradham “Doug” age 95, passed away peacefully on February 23, 2026. He was born on June 6, 1930, in Big Spring, Texas to Oscar and Amma Bradham. In 1951, Doug married Lynda Atchley. Together they welcomed their pride and joy, Bruce Bradham, in November 1958. Following the death of Lynda in 1987, he married Mildred Tuxhorn in 1989. Doug and Millie shared many meaningful years together traveling the United States, enjoying their retirement, and carrying out their own form of mission work through helping close family and friends going through hard times such as childhood cancer. Doug devoted his career to education and became widely known for his exceptional leadership as principal of Pope Elementary School in Arlington ISD. He was deeply loved by students, parents, and staff alike and was especially famous for the cherished tradition of “Mr. Bradham Day,” a testament to the lasting impact he made on generations of families.
