For the Love of the Lake has moved its offices from Casa Linda Plaza to north of White Rock Lake by Flagpole Hill Park at 8007 E. Northwest Highway.

The nonprofit’s leaders said in a press release that this move signifies a continued alliance with the City of Dallas Park and Recreation Department

“Our partnership with the City of Dallas is central to the work we do,” President Liz Sullivan said in the press release. “This move positions us well to continue delivering meaningful, on-the-ground impact for White Rock Lake and the community that loves it.”

For the Love of the Lake aims to preserve and enhance White Rock Lake Park through service and has more than 5,000 volunteers to help accomplish this mission. Most notably, the nonprofit hosts the “Second Saturday Shoreline Spruce-Up” each month to pick up litter at the park. The next event in this series will take place on March 14 from 8 a.m. to noon.
